Executive Director | FreeRide Director | Head Coach

TYSON HENRIE
Tyson has served as the Executive Director of the Arrowhead Ski Team for 19 years and brings nearly two decades of hands-on coaching, leadership and program building to the organization. A US Ski & Snowboard Level 300 Certified Coach, Tyson is known for developing not just strong skiers, but confident, resilient young people who love the process of learning and challenge. Coming from a ski racing background, Tyson has coached athletes across every stage of development--from first-year skiers to high level competitors--while maintaining a long-term athlete development mindset rooted in fun, fundamentals, and progression. His coaching philosophy emphasizes simplicity, confidence, work ethic, and connection: meet athletes where they are, break skill down clearly, and help each child leave the hill feeling proud and stoked. Beyond Arrowhead, Tyson is the founder of multiple youth mountain-sports initiatives and has spent his career building programs that blend athletics, character development, and real-world life skills. He believes the best coaching environments feel like a drive--where athletes are known by name, supported as individuals, and challenged to grow both on snow and off. Tysons mission is simple: create an environment where kids fall in love with skiing, believe in themselves, and carry the lessons learned on the mountain into the rest of their lives.
