WORK DEPOSIT information
Team fees will now include a $100 Work Deposit for Development teams and a $260 Work Deposit for Competition teams.
When you register your athlete, you will pay a WORK DEPOSIT. You will have the opportunity to VOLUNTEER and earn that money back! Our program relies on community. Yes, we need funds for operation and scholarships - but when it comes to races and fundraising events, we'd much rather have YOU involved! This is standard practice with all ski teams in our area.
Adding in a Work Deposit for all families allows us to cover these additional costs we are seeing each year from inflation and adjusted wages and still keep the team fees at a low cost relative to other teams for those who choose to earn their money back by volunteering.
In addition to that, the extra money will be deposited into our new endowment fund, which will be set up to provide a perpetual scholarship source.

We rely on Volunteers to make this team run efficiently and to build community and stewardship. We want to continue to build our legacy with AST, and it starts with INVOLVEMENT.

work deposit amounts
Each program has its own deposit requirement. Volunteer opportunities are assigned credit values - YOU EARN CREDIT BY SIGNING UP AND COMPLETING SHIFTS. Once your total credits match your deposit amount, you will receive a TEAM FEE CREDIT for the following season.

*Coaches with kids on the team will NOT pay the Work Deposit*
Work Deposits must be paid in full at the time of registration and cannot be waived. For families with more than one athlete participating in the AST program, the highest work deposit required for the program attended in the family will apply.
Families do not pay more than one deposit, regardless of the number of athletes in AST programs.
You will complete registration for all your kids and then will be refunded the duplicate work deposits.
If you athlete decides not to return for the following year, the work deposit may be refunded upon the approved completion of work hours, or you can opt to donate those funds to our endowment fund.
how to get credit for volunteering
You will be able to sign up on a Signup Genius for the events and needs we have for the 26-27 season. Once you complete your hours, you will complete a Google form for each day you volunteer. Your credits will NOT be applied until that form is completed and verified.

SIBLING DISCOUNT INFORMATION

The discount applies to each additional sibling, after the first one. (No cousins, BFFS or anything)

10% discount is applied to the second sibling

5% discount is applied to the third sibling, fourth and so on.

The discounts will be applied to the lower team fees, i.e: sibling 1 is on South Series, sibling 2 is on Megashredders and sibling 3 is on Mavericks. The 10% discount will be applied to the Megashredders team fees and the 5% discount will be applied to the Mavericks team fees.

Discounts can be applied to as many siblings after sibling 1 as needed.

You will complete registration and pay team fees for all your kids, then you will be refunded the accurate discount(s).

Coaches' kids cannot stack their coaches discount with this discount.
